You can meet Santa and his joyful elves in the Village everyday of the year and naturally also in the summertime! There is no entrance fee to meet Santa.
The Arctic Circle is a circle of latitude that runs 66°33′45.9″ north of the Equator. It marks the southernmost latitude where the sun can stay in summer continuously above the horizon for 24 hours. Thanks to this we have the phenomena of the midnight sun in Lapland. Santa Claus Village is certainly the best and most legendary place to cross the famous Arctic Circle.
At the centre of the bustling village is a tiny cabin housing an exhibition on the history of tourism on the Arctic Circle. This unique building was constructed in 1950 to celebrate the visit of Eleanor Roosevelt at the Arctic Circle.

Santa’s Forest, full of Christmas trees of all sizes, is located close to Santa Claus Village. Explore the magical forest by following a 2 km guided trail from the Village.

Only 15 km (12 min drive) northeast of Santa Claus Village is the unique Arctic Circle Hiking Area, featuring marked trails, fire pits, beautiful lakes and bridges over impressive rapids. Discover Lapland’s nature at its best!
