Arktikum is a museum and science centre and one of the must sees in Rovaniemi. Arktikum, located close to Rovaniemi’s city-center and 8 km from Santa Claus Village, lets you experience northern nature, culture, and history up close. Housing the University of Lapland’s Arctic Centre and the Regional Museum of Lapland, we provide a deeper understanding of the Arctic. Café of Mrs. Claus is a warm, cozy, and spacious café located in Mrs. Santa Claus’ Christmas Cottage (Santa Claus Reindeer Resort) in Santa Claus Village. The wooden house itself is incredibly beautiful and “Christmassy”, making it a must-visit destination.
At Café of Mrs. Claus, you can enjoy a variety of hot and cold drinks, as well as salty and sweet snacks, such as Finnish pastries and gingerbread. Entrance to the café is, of course, FREE.

Located 15km north from Rovaniemi’s city-center and 19 km from Santa Claus Village, by the side of the Ounasjoki River, Nova Galaxy Village is a resort of unique Scandinavian style Aurora huts.

Porovaara Hill is a private and peaceful place, 20 min drive from Santa Claus Village, where you can feel and experience pure nature in many different ways. One option is to drive by silent electric snowmobile to the deep forest surrounded by the peaceful nature and wild animals. After the ride, head to the reindeer fences of our reindeer farm to feed the animals and learn about herding with your guide. The restaurant can accommodate 100 people to eat, and there is also a meeting facility. Santa’s Cuisine serves daily during the winter season, and in the summer the restaurant can be rented for private use, for example for a company’s meeting day or for a big family celebration.
