Come and warm up in a traditional Finnish sauna in Rovaniemi, enjoying its gentle heat! The bravest can try ice swimming in the cold pool next to the sauna. As you ascend the wide steps to the pool, you can choose how deep to go—just dip your toes or immerse yourself up to your neck. After a refreshing swim, it’s wonderful to return to the warmth of the sauna. If you’re lucky, you might even witness the northern lights during your visit!
Sinetän Saunahuone is located in Rovaniemi’s country-side, only 30 km from Santa Claus Village. The sauna is private for you and your group or family. We provide everything you need for your sauna experience, also a swimming suit if you want but it’s not necessary.
In addition to the sauna, we also have a salt room, which is used to relieve respiratory symptoms or skin conditions. You can combine a visit to both the sauna and the salt room, with the experience lasting a total of 2,5 to 3 hours. Now that is luxury!
The sauna is available all year round:
- Ice swimming is possible from 1st September to 30th April.
- A cold pool is available in summer for an additional fee.
The salt room is available all year round.

Situated in the pristine Arctic wilderness, our resort is your gateway to unforgettable experiences. Private land, along with carefully designed routes, provide an ideal setting for your Arctic adventures. Led by our expert guides, you’ll be introduced to the best Lapland has to offer every season.
We offer activities in four different seasons:
– Summer: 1.8.-31.8.
– Autumn: 1.9.-10.11
– Early Winter: 11.11.-.28.11.
– Winter: 29.11.-5.4.
Late summer in Lapland brings a gentle warmth, peaceful surroundings, and plenty of outdoor fun. The forests are full of life, providing a stunning setting for those who love nature. The fresh, crisp air enhances outdoor activities like hiking and fishing, making them particularly delightful.
Autumn ushers in the Aurora Borealis season, when Lapland’s landscape glows with vibrant shades of yellow, orange, and red—the peak of fall foliage. During this time, you’ll find countless ways to explore the stunning nature, whether by horse carriage, kayak, or electric fatbike. A variety of Northern Lights activities, along with tours featuring huskies and other Arctic animals, will fill your heart with memories to cherish forever.
Winter arrives early at Apukka Resort, with snow-based activities starting from November 11th. If nature falls short on snow, we’ll make sure there’s plenty by using stored snow and snow cannons. You’ll have the chance to join us ahead of the crowd and experience winter favorites such as husky tours, reindeer sleigh rides, snowmobile safaris, and more.
As winter reaches its peak, you’ll discover even more ways to enjoy our winter wonderland. Longer husky rides and snowmobile safaris become available, new activities like snowshoeing are introduced, and the Christmas magic wraps around us like a festive gift. There are so many activities to choose from that listing them all would be impossible!
For those interested in Finnish saunas, we offer a variety of options available for booking. You can try the traditional lakeside sauna and take a refreshing dip—whether the lake is covered in ice or not! If you prefer a warmer experience, a sauna with an outdoor jacuzzi might be more to your liking. Please note that sauna reservations do not include transfers, but you can use our Apukka Shuttle Bus for transportation.
