Welcome to ride in the pure Lappish nature with magical arctic horses! In our cozy stable, you’ll have the opportunity to meet our friendly horses, dogs, and sheep. We offer a variety of horse-related activities, including trail riding, sleigh rides in the winter, and we also breed Finnish horses. You are also welcome to join our traditional sauna ceremony or experience the tranquility of nature by staying in our glampings.

During your visit, we’ll share fascinating insights into the lives and histories of these magnificent animals. Our location is 30-minutes driving from Santa Claus Village. Sometimes you can meet our horses also in Santa Claus Village!

In Santa Claus Village at the Arctic Circle, you’ll find the welcoming Elf’s Farmyard (Finnish: Tallitontun piha). Visit and feed our kindly reindeer and meet fluffy alpacas, pony, goats, sheep, rabbits, donkeys and different birds or enjoy winter fun by coasting down the little hill on site! Guests can also use our Lapland hut (kota) & campfire / barbecue.

As an extra service, Elf’s farmyard also offers nice reindeer walks and alpaca walks in the forests of Santa Claus Village and pony riding with our lovely pony. These activities must be booked in advance from our online shop. More info and bookings on our website: www.elfsfarmyard.com

Apukka Adventures offers bucket-list activities in autumn and winter, whether staying in Apukka Resort, Santa Claus Village, or Rovaniemi city. All our activities include transfers from Santa Claus Village to Apukka and back. In Apukka, each day is met as a new chance for an adventure.

The Arctic wilderness around us is our beautiful playground. Our private land and routes offer a safe and tranquil environment for all nature activities. Our guides lead deep into the Finnish lifestyle and live close to nature.

We offer activities in three different seasons:
– Autumn 1.9.-12.11.
– Early Winter 13.11.-30.11.
– Winter 1.12.-7.4.

Autumn is the beginning of the Aurora Borealis season and the time for the yellow, orange, and red colouring of the Lappish nature; it’s the time of Autumn foliage. Northern Light tours, trekking, meeting Arctic animals, and eFatbiking are the things to do during this season.

In early winter, Apukka Adventures promise to start activities on snow from 13th November. If there’s not enough natural snow, we will use stored and cannoned snow to create the routes for early winter husky sledding, reindeer sleigh rides, snowmobiling, and much more. Our tours are a unique opportunity to experience snowy activities this early in Rovaniemi!

Apukka Resort’s selection of saunas is open for all to book. Try traditional lakeside sauna & ice swimming or sauna & outdoor jacuzzi. Please note that sauna reservations don’t include transfers, but you can use our Apukka Shuttle Bus.
