Welcome to the Magical World of Santa’s Elves at Santa Claus Safaris!
Step into a fairytale! At Santa Claus Safaris, located in Santa Claus Village, you’ll discover the enchanting world of Santa’s Elves, meet Santa’s beloved huskies and reindeer, and choose your own Elf adventure. You might even hear a few of Santa’s best-kept secrets along the way.
For the first time ever, the Elves’ once-secret Training Center is open to all. With an admission ticket, you’ll join the Elves for fun, hands-on challenges. Test your skills in precision gift sliding, try Santa’s sleigh ride simulator, and sneak through the Hide & Sneak obstacle course. Complete the tasks and receive your official Elf Diploma, earning the honorary right to serve as a helper elf anywhere in the world.
Relax at the Elf Café & Restaurant, open daily, offering a cozy Christmassy atmosphere, treats, drinks, souvenirs, and a daily lunch buffet. Upstairs, visit the free Elf Wish & Meet to meet an Elf, take a photo, and write a letter to Santa. This magic is for everyone.
The Haunted Walk is a unique destination located in Rovaniemi’s countryside some 40 km from Santa Claus Village. The Haunted Walk leads you through a secluded woodland trail filled with dark artistic installations, symbolic forest settings, and unsettling scenes such as The Inn of the Dead and The Lost Ravens’ Manor. The route is designed to evoke a sense of eerie storytelling, blending theatrical elements with visual surprises along the way.
The trail doesn’t base on jump scares, but is rather built to spark imagination and curiosity. It’s ideal for those looking for something different, atmospheric, and creatively unsettling.
After the walk, you’ll visit The Gallery of Dark Arts, a unique gallery featuring horror-inspired artwork, ghost-themed sculptures, and other odd pieces. The evening can be continued around an open fire, where warm drinks are served. On clear nights, there’s even a chance to spot the northern lights.
The destination is open all year around. During the winter season, we welcome visitors only by prior arrangement in order to ensure the best possible experience for our guests.
Cliff Adventure Park Pyhäkuru is a unique cliffside experience in the Arctic fells of Pyhä, only 1.5 hours from Rovaniemi. We offer two main day trips in winter: the Zipline Adventure Day, a full-day guided tour featuring cliff climbing, rope bridges and thrilling ziplines, and the National Park Explorer, a slower-paced visit with a guided tour of Pyhä-Luosto National Park and time to explore independently.
No experience is required, and both options are suitable for families, couples and adventure seekers. Take a peaceful break inside your own life-sized gingerbread cabin in the heart of Santa Claus Village. Piparina’s private cabins offer a cozy retreat between adventures – perfect for families, couples, and small groups looking for a moment of calm.
Each cabin features a warm wooden interior with a dining table, sofa and rocking chair, creating the feeling of a Lapland hideaway. Guests can order food, drinks or snack packs directly from Piparina’s restaurant and enjoy them in the comfort of their own cabin. You can also bring your own snacks if you wish.
The cabins can also be booked for small gatherings, meetings, or celebrations, combining privacy with the magical setting of a gingerbread village.

The bike park, called Santa’s Backyard Bike Trails, was opened in summer 2025 right next to Santa Claus Village at the Arctic Circle. This free-to-use park offers easy and playful cycling trails for everyone who enjoys smooth and relaxed riding.
In the forest next to Santa Claus Village, four short and clearly marked mountain biking trails wind through the landscape. Three of them – Loiva, Hupi and Lysti – are one-way trails, while the two-way Luppo trail connects the others. The routes (0.5–1.5 km) run through an enchanting forest with gently rolling terrain, allowing cyclists to enjoy mild curves, rocky sections, and smooth gravel surfaces. The focus is more on fun, movement and a little forest adventure than on competition.
The new trails connect seamlessly to the Ounasvaara ski stadium and Rovaniemi city centre via light traffic routes, making them easily accessible to both locals and visitors.
The starting point of the new bike park is located next to the official bus stop of Santa Claus Village, at the intersection of Joulumaantie and Tähtikuja streets, near Santa Claus Holiday Village. The distance from the starting point to the four aforementioned trails is about 800 metres. Travellers can rent bicycles at the reception of Santa Claus Holiday Village or from its online store.
