Rovaniemi Tours Oy is a local, family-owned tour company based in Rovaniemi, Finnish Lapland, offering authentic small-group experiences for international visitors. Our company organizes year-round guided activities that showcase Arctic nature and culture, including Northern Lights tours, husky excursions and reindeer safaris, snowmobile adventures, visits to Santa Claus Village, and excursions to national parks and Korouoma frozen waterfalls.

Our focus is on personalized, small-group tours with local guides, combining transportation, equipment, and storytelling to create easy and immersive Lapland experiences. Operating in both winter and summer, we aim to provide a genuine “local way” to explore Rovaniemi and surrounding Lapland, from Arctic wildlife encounters to wilderness activities and cultural highlights.

Taava Reindeer Farm offers reindeer experiences in a calm forest setting about 30 minutes from Santa Claus Village, Rovaniemi. Transportation from Santa Claus Village is included in all experiences.

Visits take place at a working reindeer farm, where guests can meet the reindeer, enjoy reindeer rides and spend unhurried time in nature. The experiences are based on everyday reindeer herding and guided by experienced reindeer guides who share their knowledge and life with the animals.

The farm operates under the guidance of local reindeer herder Janne Körkkö. Taava operates year-round, with a relaxed pace that allows time for interaction with the reindeer and conversation with the reindeer guides.

Korouoma Wilderness Café is a family-run business from Posio, located within the Korouoma Nature Reserve, about a 1.5-hour drive from Santa Claus Village. Our guided tours to the frozen waterfalls from Rovaniemi take guests into landscapes where our family has lived, grown, and travelled for generations. Along the way, guests hear local stories about the history of Korouoma and life in the area, and the experience culminates in traditional Lapland-style treats, enjoyed in the café’s unique atmosphere.

The cozy café’s food is made entirely from scratch using local ingredients, with roots in the traditional cuisine of northeastern and eastern Lapland. Warm hospitality and respect for nature guide all activities.

Accommodation is also available: two cabins at the trailhead and two wilderness huts deeper in the canyon. Catering services are offered as well, from campfire meals to cozy dinners and larger celebrations, including in remote locations.

Korouoma offers experiences throughout the year – frozen waterfalls in winter, flowing waters in spring, lush groves in summer, and the vibrant colours of autumn foliage.

The bike park, called Santa’s Backyard Bike Trails, was opened in summer 2025 right next to Santa Claus Village at the Arctic Circle. This free-to-use park offers easy and playful cycling trails for everyone who enjoys smooth and relaxed riding.

In the forest next to Santa Claus Village, four short and clearly marked mountain biking trails wind through the landscape. Three of them – Loiva, Hupi and Lysti – are one-way trails, while the two-way Luppo trail connects the others. The routes (0.5–1.5 km) run through an enchanting forest with gently rolling terrain, allowing cyclists to enjoy mild curves, rocky sections, and smooth gravel surfaces. The focus is more on fun, movement and a little forest adventure than on competition.

The new trails connect seamlessly to the Ounasvaara ski stadium and Rovaniemi city centre via light traffic routes, making them easily accessible to both locals and visitors.

The starting point of the new bike park is located next to the official bus stop of Santa Claus Village, at the intersection of Joulumaantie and Tähtikuja streets, near Santa Claus Holiday Village. The distance from the starting point to the four aforementioned trails is about 800 metres. Travellers can rent bicycles at the reception of Santa Claus Holiday Village or from its online store.
