The coolest drink bar in town! Sky Bar is located in the shores of Lake Lehtojärvi, a 30-minute drive from Rovaniemi city center and Santa Claus Village. From the ground floor you can find a lounge-type of bar that serves cocktails with a local twist along with other drinks and small snacks.

Sky bar opens in the afternoon and closes later in the evening: When it is dark and the sky is clear, we recommend to head to the second floor where you can hopefully see the northern lights through the glass roof!

Sky bar is located in the same building with Kota Restaurant at Arctic SnowHotel & Glass Igloos. During the winter season the location on shores of lake Lehtojärvi houses one of the largest snowhotels in the world -Arctic SnowHotel. The SnowHotel is open between December 15th – March 31st.

The Arctic SnowHotel & Glass Igloos is a landmark and a popular attraction in Rovaniemi. Ice Restaurant of Arctic SnowHotel is a spectacle, and an attraction on its own. Enjoy an unforgettable 3-course dinner with dessert served on an ice plate! The Ice Restaurant is built entirely of snow and ice, and its interior is crowned by amazing ice columns, light art and beautiful snow sculptures. At the Ice Bar you don’t order a drink with ice, you order a drink in ice. A frozen icy glass in a bar made entirely of snow and ice, gives the experience that is beyond compare.

Arctic SnowHotel & Glass Igloos Rovaniemi, located 25 min drive (30 km) from Santa Claus Village, provides the luxury of sleeping under a 360º glass roof and the unique experience of staying in a hotel made of only snow and ice. The Apukka Shuttle Bus runs multiple times daily, connecting Apukka Resort, Santa Claus Village, and Rovaniemi city center.

The Shuttle Bus is available for everyone traveling between these three locations. Tickets can be purchased in advance through the Apukka Resort website or onboard the bus. Please be aware that on-bus tickets are subject to seat availability.

This not only offers our guests a convenient means to reach Rovaniemi city center and Santa Claus Village but also provides an easy way to enjoy a day visit to Apukka. We have a plethora of activities suitable for busy schedules, including short tours and restaurant and sauna experiences.

As winter reaches its peak, you’ll discover even more ways to enjoy our winter wonderland. Longer husky rides and snowmobile safaris become available, new activities like snowshoeing  are introduced, and the Christmas magic  wraps around us like a festive gift. For those interested in Finnish saunas, we offer a variety of options available for booking. You can try the traditional lakeside sauna and take a refreshing dip—whether the lake is covered in ice or not! If you prefer a warmer experience, a sauna with an outdoor jacuzzi might be more to your liking. Please note that sauna reservations do not include transfers, but you can use our Apukka Shuttle Bus for transportation.
