Arctic Circle Summer Market attracted over 2,000 visitors to Santa Claus Village

The now traditional Arctic Circle Summer Market attracted a record-breaking crowd to Santa Claus Village on the sunny weekend of 14–15 June 2025 – over 2,000 people from around the world. Among the visitors were both local residents and tourists who had come from different continents to greet Santa Claus.

During the event, businesses from both Santa Claus Village and the surrounding countryside showcased and sold their products and services. Sustainable living was promoted at the market, for example by the association Pidä Lappi Siistinä ry (Keep Lapland Tidy Association), which provided recycling guidance at its stand. The atmosphere of the event was enriched by performances from Nocturne Trio, Jutajaiset folklore dancing group and Simodeus. Children and the young at heart were also delighted by various characters, such as the Moomin and the snowmen from Snowman World.
