Polish cyclists against climate change “Climate Rally 2022”-activists and Arctic Circle 2022 Classic Events’ cars crossed the Arctic Circle at Santa Claus Village in June

The companies of Santa Claus Village are taking the fight against climate change seriously. For this reason, Santa Claus and Rovaniemi mayor Ulla-Kirsikka Vainio had the great pleasure of receiving a group of 12 Polish activists on June 23, 2022. The activists had cycled from Wroclaw, Poland to northern Norway, and from there to the Arctic Circle in Rovaniemi as part of the “Climate Rally 2022” event. In total, the group traveled more than 5 000 km across Europe, and meeting Santa Claus was both the climax of the adventure and their final stop.

Receiving greetings from the group as well as letters from Polish children, Santa Claus said he also loves cycling. Cycling is the perfect way to fight climate change, while at the same time being a great exercise, said the jolly old man.

The mayor of Rovaniemi, Ulla-Kirsikka Vainio, received the Polish cyclists against climate change at the Arctic Circle. Afterwards, the cyclists met Santa Claus in his office.

Classic cars delighted the Arctic Circle—Santa Claus himself even felt a hundred years younger

One week earlier, on June 18, 2022, Santa Claus Village was visited by a number of wonderful classic cars during their Arctic Circle 2022 Classic Events tour. Visitors at Santa Claus Village got to admire these beautiful and historical cars on a sunny, summer day, as part of their tour of the countries of the Baltic Sea. After Rovaniemi, they continued their journey to Norway. The oldest of the classic cars was a 1928 open-top Bentley, which made Santa Claus himself feel even a hundred years younger
