Shell HelmiSimpukka Napapiiri offers a wide range of services for drivers in the area of Santa Claus Village. The station, located just 150 meters from Santa Claus’ Main Post Office, is open 24/7.
Since November 2024, the station has been equipped with 12 high-capacity charging points for electric vehicles. Charging an electric car is fast and simple: payment can be made using a credit card.

Mr. Antti Nikander, the secretary-general of the Santa Claus Village Cooperative and the “busy elf” is delighted about the arrival of the charging points. The charging points bring great benefits, both to tourists, who are increasingly using electric vehicles, and to local taxis, the majority of which will soon be electric.

The charging points are part of Santa Claus Village’s sustainable tourism strategy, which for example aims to systematically reduce the carbon dioxide emissions of tourism. Nikander believes that in the coming years, more electric vehicle charging points will be installed in the Santa Claus Village area, along with, in the long term, distribution points for biogas and hydrogen.
